Covid Safety Measures

 

Protocol for Illness

All students, faculty, staff, and family members must stay home if they are sick and remain home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication. Temperatures will be checked before entering the studio, and if a student has a fever, he or she will be sent home. Parents should update emergency contact information as needed to ensure dancers can be picked up immediately.

 

Class Arrival and Dismissal

If you arrive earlier than 10 minutes before class, please remain in your car with your dancer to avoid groups, crowds, long lines and overheating. Please do not leave your dancer unattended outside waiting for his/her class. They will not be allowed to leave class to find you in the parking lot. They must be released to a parent or authorized person at the exit door to ensure the safety of our dancers. Doors will be marked with entrance and exit signs. If your are looking at the building, Studio 1 entrances and exits will be on the left side and Studio 2 will be on the right side.

Classes will be dismissed approximately 5 minutes early to allow time for social distancing and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces.

 

During Class

All staff and students must have their temperature taken and sanitize hands upon entry.

All dancers 8 and up must wear a mask or face covering upon entering the studio unless he or she has a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask.

Faculty and staff must wear a mask at all times.

Upon entering the dance room, each dancer will be directed to a socially distanced pre-marked location along the perimeter of the room for their belongings. Once the teacher is ready to begin class, each student will be moved to another socially distanced location in the center of the room.

Class activities will be modified to remove any interaction that would require contact between students.

Staff will disinfect all equipment, frequently touched surfaces, and entry points before and after each class.

 

Sanitization

Hand sanitizer stations will be available at every entrance and inside every dance studio. Every dancer should bring his or her own labeled water bottle to class. Our water fountain is closed and will not be available to help prevent the spread of any germs.

Wearing a Mask

Adults and students ages 8 and older must wear a face covering when entering our building unless he or she has a medical condition that prohibits them from wearing a mask.

 

Social Distancing

CDC is restricting the number of people in the lobby to protect the health of our dancers, staff, and faculty. Our waiting area will be closed unless you need to make a payment in the office. Only one person will be allowed in the waiting room at one time. We ask that you wait outside in your car or run an errand while your child is in class. Please pick them up at designated location on time.

Separate doors will be used for entrance and exit to allow for social distancing during times of transitions. Students will not be allowed to wait for their class in the lobby and must exit and enter through the side doors.
